So just after sunset I drove over to find a really cool looking community, on paper at least, called Rotunda! Ok, so It’s called Rotunda, and it has a circular layout. It looks pretty sweet on the map … but as is often the case, it didn’t quite live up to it’s potential. It turns out to be a subdivision! It’s also really tough to find at night from the west side, especially when your map doesn’t have street names on it. But that’s not the worst part. I drove to the middle of the circle to find … drum roll please … a waste treatment plant!!! Are you kidding me? Who’s cool enough to design a community in a circle and puts public works in the middle? Yes, I understand the efficiency of it, but really, how anticlimactic is that. By the time I figured out how to get around to the other side (it’s a circle, it shouldn’t be complicated) I did find a small park on the other side of the circle. But still a major let down. Then I had the joy of finding the way out, which also was not as easy as it should have been. Wow. Don’t ever go there.
